WHO:

ACG Western Michigan Members and Guests*

WHAT:

Our Table Topic for June 15 is Elevating Women: Empowering the Next Generation. Printed copies of relevant take-away materials will be available for each attendee.

It's no secret: women's growing economic influence across generations is one of the most significant shifts within our economy in recent decades. Through wealth-creation and inheritance, we now know women are poised to control more than two-thirds of the country's private capital by 2030. Yet nearly half of all women still defer long-term financial decisions to a male spouse -- and Millennial women are doing this more than any other group.

Our conversation on Elevating Women will help you lead clients by example, by sharing stories, and by engaging women of all ages to empower them -- and the next generation -- to build confidence around all aspects of wealth. Asking the following questions presents a good place to start:
  • How do you share in financial responsibilities with others - your parents? Your partner?
  • Were you to become unexpectedly single, would you feel prepared to take financial control of your life?
  • Do you feel you have a full picture of what you own and what you owe?
  • How did your parents talk to you about managing wealth? How do you talk/plan to talk to your own children about wealth?
